Solterra is located between S Indiana Street and W Wesley Avenue. Rooney Ranch Elementary, Dunstan Middle, and Green Mountain High School are all close together and are the schools children from this area typically attend.

Fox Hollow Golf Course, which is commonly referred to as the “home course” because it is both classic and familiar, and Bear Creek Golf Club, which offers more variation and tough terrain, are both within a short drive from Solterra. This subdivision’s HOA covers the clubhouse, community pool, fitness center, and trash collection.

The Retreat, the community’s iconic clubhouse, is the ideal spot for entertaining or simply relaxing. Regular community events take place there, and they can also be booked for special occasions like weddings and graduations. The Retreat’s private spa and fitness center, where yoga and exercise programs are held, is located just across the courtyard.

There are numerous advantages to living in Solterra. There is a park for children and a dog park is located within the neighborhood. There is plenty of open space to enjoy as well. Bear Creek Lake, for example, is great for fishing and boating.

Types of Homes:

The home designs in this neighborhood are 2 stories and ranch with up to 8,000 completed square feet on groomed lots of 4,000 square feet to a third of an acre. Cardel Homes & Infinity Homes constructed these luxurious residences between 2008 and 2017. A fully completed basement, a large living area, and an activity room are standard in Solterra homes. They have a covered deck with a beautiful view of the adjacent park, as well as a side patio with a built-in natural gas grill. These homes have wonderful designer finishes and a vaulted ceiling that allows natural light to shine through. It is conveniently located near Downtown Denver, mountain recreation, Bear Creek Lake Park, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Dinosaur Ridge Park, and Morrison’s historic town.

This area’s students attend Hutchinson Elementary, Dunstan Middle, and Green Mountain High School. Fox Hollow Golf Course, which is commonly referred to as the “home course”, and Bear Creek Golf Club, are both within a short drive from Tamarisk for passionate players.

Types of Homes:

Tamarisk homes are two-story and range in size from 2,700 to 5,300 square feet, with lots ranging from 7,500 square feet to three acres. The majority of the 144 houses in this development were built by Village Homes between 2002 and 2005.

Elegant solid hardwood floors and designer tile can be found throughout the homes in this development. There’s a wet bar, separate fitness space, gas cooktop, and double ovens in the walk-out basement. They also have a huge backyard with a stamped concrete patio that is multi-leveled. The homes in this community typically sell for $1,000,000-$1,250,000+.

3. Applewood Knolls

Applewood Knolls has long been known as the “sleeper” area, where “community” still exists. Pride of ownership is evident despite the lack of a homeowners’ association, and the “Knolls” neighborhood is ranked as one of Lakewood’s top neighborhoods.

The Golden Goal Sports Complex, which offers indoor sports facilities for both adults and children, is only 1.7 miles from this subdivision. Tanglewood Sports Park and Prospect West Tennis Courts, both of which have separate activity areas, are only 2.2 miles away from the area. This neighborhood’s students attend Prospect Valley Elementary, Everitt Middle, and Wheat Ridge High School.

Types of Homes:

Applewood Knolls is a neighborhood in Lakewood that features ranch, tri-level, bi-level, 2-story, and multi-level homes. It is located between W 32nd Avenue and Simms Street. The majority of these homes, ranging in size from 1,700 to 4,000 finished square feet, were built between 1959 and 1974. The homes have a two-car attached garage and some walk-out space.

These houses are situated on well-kept lots ranging from a fifth to a half-acre in size. Most of the homes in this neighborhood wouldn’t be considered for our luxury category, however, the large, newly remodeled homes do tend to sell for just over $1,000,000 so be on the lookout!

4. Bear Creek Village

Bear Creek Village is a 470-home neighborhood in Lakewood, located between Morrisson Road and S Youngfield Street. This neighborhood is dedicated to maintaining the area’s beauty, safety, and stability while also encouraging neighborliness and pride among inhabitants.

This development is close to various golf courses, including Bear Creek Golf Course, which is a rocky terrain with excellent views of the foothills and is only a mile away. This area is also only 2 miles from Fox Hollow Golf Course. A short drive from Bear Creek Village is also the Homestead Golf Course, which features beautifully maintained grounds and extensive practice facilities. Devinny Elementary, Dunstan Middle, and Green Mountain High School are all close together and are the schools children from this neighborhood usually attend.

Types of Homes:

Richmond American Homes developed the residences here which range in size from 2,500 to 6,500 square feet. They were built between 1990 and 2012. The majority of the houses are two-story ranches on lots ranging from a fifth to a half-acre in size. These luxurious homes are typically selling in the $1,000,000-$1,500,000 range.

5. Thraemoor

Thraemoor is located between W Yale Avenue and S Chase Lane and has 3,391 residents. Just 1.5 miles from this area is the Harvey Park Recreation Center, which features basketball games, and a gym, and is a great spot for families. This area’s students attend Westgate Elementary, Carmody Middle, and Bear Creek High School. A short drive from this site is the Overland Park Golf Course, the area’s oldest running course with views of both the city and the mountains. This subdivision’s HOA is responsible for common area grounds management, garbage collection, and snow removal.

Types of Homes:

The majority of the homes in this development are two-story, bi-level, multi-level, and raised ranch homes with 2,000-5,800 completed square feet on lots ranging from 8,000 square feet to three-quarter acres. Thraemoor includes 249 residences that were developed between 1963 and 2002 and the majority of these homes include a 2-3 car attached garage. Many of these homes are selling around the $1,200,000 price point.
