3. A Location That’s Hard to Beat

Reasons to Move to Castle Pines

One of the main reasons that so many people have decided to call Castle Pines home over the recent years is its location. The town is located 20 miles south of downtown Denver and 43 miles north of Colorado Springs. With direct access to Interstate 25, it is pretty incredible to be able to reach 4 out of Colorado’s 5 biggest cities (Denver, Colorado Springs, Lakewood, Aurora) within just an hour of driving.

Castle Pines is also within minutes of other popular suburbs such as Highlands Ranch, Parker, Lone Tree, and of course, Castle Rock. The Hess Resovoir is also just a short drive from Castle Pines.

The city of Castle Pine is located on the western border of the Great Plains, in the Colorado Piedmont. Happy Canyon Creek flows north-northeast through the western’s half, while Newlin Gulch and its tributary, South Newlin Gulch, flow north-northeast, and north, respectively, through the city’s eastern half. The Cherry Creek watershed encompasses all three streams. Due to this location, you have easy access to different places.

Perhaps the best part about Castle Pines’ location that differs from other Denver suburbs is that the city is right in the middle of a forest that also has great views of the great Rocky Mountains.

4. Top-Tier Education System

Reasons to Move to Castle Pines

Many people aren’t aware that cities across the United States receive a ranking based on how “Walkable” they are. In other words, cities get a rating for how nice and efficient it is to walk around there so that residents know how dependent they need to be on a vehicle or public transportation.

This city has a 7 out of 10 walk score, which means you can do a lot of things by just walking.

Some people do not want to be car-dependent to have to drive to get groceries or any other activity. It is beneficial to know what amenities or facilities are accessible in the area, as well as if you can perform the majority of your daily tasks on foot. In Castle Pines, you can get by pretty well without having to always drive a vehicle everywhere you go. Most of the shopping and dining is located in one general spot which has many neighborhoods close by.
